This page provides the information about C&C’22’s pre-registration and registration process, once you have arrived in Venice.
Prior to or when you arrive at the conference, you will receive two envelopes:
- The first is your registration pack – conference materials such as timetable, etc;
- The second contains your travel card that you can use on Venice’s public transport – boats, buses and trams – to reach and leave the conference venue each day. The travel card has been included in the conference fee.
Why are these separate? The answer is simple. C&C’22 is taking place on one of Venice’s many islands, and the easiest way to reach it is via public transport. Therefore, if you are registering on a conference day, you will need to collect your travel ticket beforehand, in order to reach the island and register.
Details of how to collect A (your registration pack) and B (your travel card) are provided below.
Conference Pre-Registration on Sunday 19th June
A conference pre-registration desk will be available on Sunday 19th June in Venice, at the site of the pre-conference public event:
Location: Querini Stampalia
Time: 15.00H to 18.30H
At this pre-registration desk, you will be able to collect both A (your registration pack) and B (your travel card). You’ll be ready to go.
Conference Pre-Registration on Monday 20th June
A conference pre-registration desk will be available on Monday 20th June in Venice, near the San Zaccaria stop for the boat which will take you to the main conference venue:
Location: Hotel Wildner, Riva degli Schiavoni, opposite San Zaccaria Boat Stop ‘B’
Time: 17.45H to 19.00H
At this pre-registration desk, you will encounter our team engaging in an old Venetian tradition and sipping a spritz in the sunshine at the front of the restaurant/café space. Again, you will be able to collect both A (your registration pack) and B (your travel card), then you’ll be ready to go.
Travel Card Collection on Monday 20th, Tuesday 21st, Wednesday 22nd and Thursday 23rd June
You will be to collect your travel card as you travel to the conference, so that you can reach San Servolo and register there. Our team will be available with your travel card in front of the San Zaccaria Boat Stop ‘B’, so that you can collect and travel without fear of penalty. The team will available there at the following dates and times:
- Monday 20th, 08.25 to 09.20 (catching the 09.20 boat)
- Monday 20th, 12.20 to 13.50 (catching the 13.50 boat)
- Tuesday 21st, 08.25 to 09.20 (catching the 09.20 boat)
- Wednesday 22nd, 08.25 to 09.20 (catching the 09.20 boat)
- Thursday 23rd, 08.25 to 09.20 (catching the 09.20 boat)
Conference Registration on Tuesday 21st, Wednesday 22nd and Thursday 23rd June
You will be able to register for the conference at the conference registration desk on San Servolo, where the conference is taking place, or by contacting the team. The desk will be open from 08.30 to 09.20 each day and during timetabled breaks. As well as collecting your A (registration pack), you will also be able to collect your B (travel card), if you do not already have it. Contacting the Registration Desk
If you find that circumstances mean you are travelling to the conference outside of the above travel card collection and pre-registration events, we ask that you make your own way to the island. Please can you contact us to let us know that you will be arriving outside of the above arrangements. You will then be able to collect your travel ticket and registration at the conference registration desk on San Servolo with one of our team.
