Call Description
Poster submissions should highlight early-stage research outcomes and late-breaking work that show promise for maturing into future paper submissions. Topics of interest may broadly relate to the conference theme: Creativity for Change (see Call for Papers). This includes – but is not limited to – submissions across a range of categories that examine how interactive systems, design, and creative processes can foster positive change and respond to global challenges. Creativity will be the lens through which we view societal issues, showcasing how creative approaches can open up new possibilities.
Posters will be showcased at the conference during a dedicated poster-demo session. Authors will have the opportunity to discuss the work with conference attendees and receive feedback.
Submission Details
Poster submissions can be up to 3000 words (excluding titles, references and figure/table captions) and must be prepared using the ACM submission template (Latex and Word templates are available) in single-column format. Submissions longer than 3000 words will be rejected. The submission should describe the research problem, contribution, and value to the C&C research community. Accepted submissions will be published in the ACM digital library. As part of the submission, authors may also include a draft of the visual poster that would be presented at the conference if the submission is accepted. A draft of the visual poster is optional, not a requirement.
The total size of all submitted materials should not exceed 100 MB.
Please follow appropriate guidelines to make your submission accessible.
Where to Submit
Please submit via the Precision Conference (PCS) website below:
https://new.precisionconference.com/submissions
Once you have logged into the PCS website, select the following options under “Submissions” and click the Go button.
- Society: SIGCHI
- Conference/Journal: Creativity & Cognition 2024
- Track: Creativity & Cognition 2024 Posters
Selection Process
Posters will be jury-reviewed by a committee with external reviewers. Authors who submit may expect to receive light feedback of up to a few paragraphs in length.
Posters will be reviewed independently of other tracks. Therefore, for example, if authors want to submit both a poster and a technical demonstration, then the authors need to make two separate submissions, one for the poster and one for the demonstration, as described in the respective calls. However, both submissions must address significantly different aspects of the research to warrant two publications and presentations. Incomplete and incorrect submission content or formats will be rejected. Late submissions are not permitted.
Publications Policy
-
By submitting your article to an ACM Publication, you are hereby acknowledging that you and your co-authors are subject to all ACM Publications Policies, including ACM’s new Publications Policy on Research Involving Human Participants and Subjects. Alleged violations of this policy or any ACM Publications Policy will be investigated by ACM and may result in a full retraction of your paper, in addition to other potential penalties, as per ACM Publications Policy.

Please ensure that you and your co-authors obtain an ORCID ID, so you can complete the publishing process for your accepted paper. ACM has been involved in ORCID from the start and we have recently made a commitment to collect ORCID IDs from all of our published authors. The collection process has started and will roll out as a requirement throughout 2022. We are committed to improve author discoverability, ensure proper attribution and contribute to ongoing community efforts around name normalization; your ORCID ID will help in these efforts.
-
At least one author of an accepted poster must register for the conference and present the poster at the conference. Otherwise, the submission will not be published in the ACM digital library.
